Biden ripped over resurfaced anti-Trump tweet critics say ‘endorses his own impeachment’

President Joe Biden faced heavy criticism on social media this week for a previous tweet that some critics argued warranted his impeachment. The tweet in question suggested that he would withhold certain weapons from Israel if it proceeded with a military operation in Rafah, Gaza.

“President Trump allegedly withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to Ukraine unless they granted him a political favor,” Biden tweeted as a candidate in 2019 about the impeachment push against Trump over a phone call with Ukraine that Democrats claimed was a “quid pro quo.”

“It’s a clear example of a reciprocal arrangement.” It is concerning that Trump prioritizes his personal and political interests over the national interest. He should face impeachment.
Trump faced impeachment due to allegations of “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress” in connection with his interactions with Ukraine.

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin nNetanyahu, has made a strong statement, emphasizing his country’s determination to stand independently if needed. This comes in response to recent remarks from President Joe Biden, who hinted at the possibility of withholding weapons. Netanyahu’s words highlight Israel’s commitment to self-reliance and maintaining its own security.

Biden’s 2019 post received swift criticism on social media from conservatives who claimed that his decision to withhold military aid from Israel, citing concerns over their military campaign in Gaza, mirrored the accusations Democrats made against Trump during his impeachment.

“Joe Biden supports his own impeachment,” a writer on Red State named Bonchie shared on X.

“Wow — how timely,” New York Post reporter Jon Levine posted on X.

“Joe Biden is allegedly using his influence over aid to Israel to potentially gain a political advantage.” Conservative communicator Steve Guest posted on X, describing it as the epitome of quid pro quo.

“It is concerning that Biden prioritizes his personal and political interests over the national interest.” “He must be impeached,” wrote Sean Davis, co-founder of the Federalist, on X.

Republican governor expresses strong disapproval of Biden’s potential reduction in aid to Israel, accusing him of negotiating on behalf of terrorists.

“Joe Biden withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to address the situation in a political context,” Trump adviser Stephen Miller posted on X. “This calls for further investigation and potential legal action, including a thorough examination of any connections between Biden aides and Iran.”

There are individuals who have expressed skepticism regarding the claim that Biden has committed an impeachable offense. They have referenced a report from the Congressional Research Service, an impartial office that examines U.S. policy, which states that “The Arms Export Control Act of 1961 prohibits the sale or delivery of U.S.-origin defense articles if the President determines that a recipient country has used such articles for unauthorized purposes.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a White House official brushed off the accusations of hypocrisy as “ridiculous.”

“Senior administration officials had already made several public statements regarding Rafah that echoed the President’s remarks. They also emphasized our commitment to ensuring that Israel receives the full amount of funding allocated in the supplemental,” the official stated. “It has been reported that there were instances where funds allocated by Congress were not utilized as mandated by law during the Trump administration.” This is regarding a purchase made by a foreign government using its own funds, rather than funds allocated by Congress, and our decision on whether to deliver that purchase at this time, which could potentially support an operation that we have expressed objections to both publicly and privately.

House Republicans have expressed their disagreement with the assessment from the White House. This was highlighted by recent news on Friday, where articles of impeachment were filed against President Biden in light of the controversy.

“President Biden’s alleged actions have raised concerns among some lawmakers. GOP Rep. Cory Mills expressed his belief that the President may have abused his powers by engaging in a potential ‘quid pro quo’ with Israel, using military aid as leverage for policy changes,” according to a statement reported by Fox News Digital.

“This action was extremely concerning as it not only affected the reputation of the United States, but also had negative consequences for our trusted ally, Israel. Thus, President Biden’s actions justify impeachment, trial, removal from office, and disqualification from holding any future position under the United States.
